World Bank Moves Forward On African Project
After almost seven years, the board of the World Bank Group (IBRD) has agreed to support the African petroleum development and pipeline project - an unprecedented framework to tap 300 wells in oil fields at Doba in southern Chad and construct a 1,070-km (650 mile) pipeline to offshore oil loading facilities on Cameroon's Atlantic coast.
